Trauma Recovery Network

Become a Volunteer for the Northern New Jersey Trauma Recovery Network (NNJ TRN)

Disasters affect communities in varying degrees and each requires work to address all the needs. Many local organizations and first responders address the immediate physical needs of the community; the mental health needs of the survivors and first responders, however, are often neglected.

The Trauma Recovery/ EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program (TR/HAP) created the National Trauma Recovery Network to help provide for the mental health needs of survivors and first responders. A TRN chapter is a network of local volunteers who work within their community to provide EMDR Therapy in the aftermath of natural or man-made disasters. As a local TRN clinician, you would be volunteering to provide short-term pro bono EMDR Therapy to survivors and first responders in the event of a disaster in Northern New Jersey.
